About your clinician…
My career in mental health began as a high school senior where I was granted the opportunity to explore career paths that interested me. I interned at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, MD in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences and immediately discovered my purpose. From there, I went on to earn a B.A. in psychology and a Master’s degree from the illustrious Clark Atlanta University. I am recognized by the California Board of Social Sciences as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (license # LCSW111820). Throughout my career, I have gained experience in a variety of settings to include hospitals, group homes/ residential treatment facilities, detox/recovery, and hospice.
I understand that life sometimes gets the best of us and we may find it difficult to look forward to a new day. My role is to work alongside you as you are the expert of your life— I am simply here to guide and assist you as you push through the barriers that attempt to stand in your way. I help remind you of your strengths and resiliency, and empower you by providing you with life long tools to help you achieve the life you imagined for yourself.
My therapeutic approach is eclectic and collaborative, and incorporates the use of humor, creativity, and warmth. I use multiple evidence-based practices and modalities to ensure your treatment is intentionally tailored to meet your unique needs.
